Kylee

Hey everyone!! I had a busy busy weekend, how about you?

Anyways... Happy Monday to all of you! And today is extra special because Kylee from Sincerely, Kylee is guest blogging today!! Guys... Kylee's blog is soo cute and funny - go check it out after you read her adorable post :)

Take it away Kylee!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi there!
I'm Kylee
My little blog is called "Sincerely, Kylee"
First-- Thanks Hannah for having me guest post!
Second-- I had no idea what I was going to post about.
So, I decided to talk about COFFEE, BOOKS AND CLOTHES! (What else?!)
My coffee of choice: Iced Coffee with Soy Milk. Yum!
My Favorite Books: The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris. I know they can be a bit raunchy and far fetched, but I'm addicted! It's not okay. I don't watch "True Blood" because, well, it's HORRIBLY RAUNCHY. It's one thing to read some crazy stuff, but the producers of that show take it waay above and beyond. Again, not okay.
Clothes: I like my clothes cheap, comfy, and cute! Here's an Outfit of the Day:
There you have it! My version of Coffee, Books and Clothes. Thanks again, Hannah. :)
Okay now go check out her blog!!
See ya later everyone :)
Flawless
Ciao bella!
So today I had my senior pictures!!! {obviously ^these are not them... I took them when I was finished}
It was sooo much fun! I was a little nervous at first, but it went really well and I felt gorgeous.
You know that feeling? The one where you feel like a supermodel.
I felt flawless.
It is an amazing feeling and I haven't had it for a long time...
Anyways, I won't get my pictures back for about a month, but when I do I will post them here! :)
Okay, well sorry for the short post... but I must go do AP Calculus {oh the joys of high school!}
Tomorrow {hopefully} will be a post on all my sponsors!!
Arrivederci loves! Happy Friday :)
My Random Thoughts
Okay guys, I want to say I am sooo sorry I haven't posted in forever! :( I seriously have been...
 Whoops!
 {MIA} for the past week... But that's about to change :)
Anyways, this past week and weekend have been buusssyyy and RaNdOm. So here are my random thoughts...
#1  I love Caribou Coffee Northern Light Caramel Lattes. They are only 90 calories for the small drink and they taste delicious!!! Buuutt... I always get the lemon blueberry scones, which are soooo good, but a bazillion calories.
Sigh. I am at the point right now where I care so much about eating healthy and getting fit, but not at all. I know that makes no sense. It's just soooo unbelievably hard and I am really jealous of anyone who can eat whatever they want or run for more than 3 miles a day.
#2  This book changed my life. I can't believe I haven't picked it up until now.
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - go pick it up!
As you may have heard, it's the 13 reasons why this girl decided to kill herself. There's not much to reveal about this book (like a plot twist or the dramatic ending), but just the beautiful and poignant writing captured my heart.
I am still in that new book shock mode. Explanation: that feeling you get after you read an amazing book and you just can't stop thinking about and you don't want it to go away and you can't concentrate on much and all your thinking goes back to the book and you can't pick up a new book to read because you don't want to get rid of this feeling because this book was so freaking amazing! Wow... got run-on sentences? I hope you get my point :)
# Side Note:  I went to the Vikings game today and it was incredible!!! We scored 4 touchdowns in the first quarter! It was one of the best games I've been to in a long while.
 Oh and I'm basically in love with Adrian Peterson.
I'd take Jared Allen, Percy Harvin, or Tim Riggins as well! (Except Tim Riggins is a fictional character from Friday Night Lights...)
Gosh, what is it with me and football players? :)
#3  My senior pictures are this Thursday! Eeep!!!
I am excited/nervous/anxious to see how they turn out.
Here's a sweater I just got from Banana Republic that I think I am going to wear...
What do you think? :)
Anyways, I will try my best to keep up with posts this week, but I have a craaazzzyyy life the next few days...
Monday - 3:00 dentist & 4:30-8:45 work
Tuesday - 2:30 guidance counselor appointment & 5:00 volunteer
Wednesday - 8:00 senior retreat & 4:00 eyebrows wax
Thursday - 9:00 SENIOR PICTURES! & 6:45 work
Plus I have a ton of projects/tests/homework in school, I have to judge mock trial tryouts Monday and Tuesday during my lunch period, I have to edit and layout the newspaper so it can go out Friday, I have to turn in an application for this program that I really want to get into by Friday, I need to finally finish my college essay, and I have a bunch of other random stuff to do!
Sorry for my little rant. I'm sure everyone else on this planet has just as much, if not more, things to do (which are probably even more important!) Okay, well hopefully I will see you soon :)
{I tried this cool background maker website thing... but it didn't turn out well. I'm not sure if I just don't know how to use it or I'm bad at it or it just sucks.}
P.S. Only 9 more days until I leave for Washington D.C.!!!!!!!! I am soo excited :) I don't know if I told you this, but I'm going to D.C. to look at colleges for a week!
Through the Eyes of a Bookworm
I haven't talked about books in a while, so here's a little bit about my favorite books...
My favorite novels off of my bookshelves...
A Separate Peace is one of my favorite novels from middle school. I found it for 50 cents at the local second-hand shop I volunteer at and I had to buy it! It's a serious novel about two boys that compete in everything until a serious accident happens and everything changes. I fell in love with it in 8th grade and now I want to reread and analyze AP English style :)
Oh Shakespeare! I read Macbeth in 10th grade and I found it really interesting. Though it may not be one of Shakespeare's favorites, I thoroughly enjoyed it (especially the 3 witches!)
I already talked a little bit about Jodi Picuoult in this post, but My Sister's Keeper is one of my all-time favorite novels. I would read it over and over again when I was in middle school. It was just so captivating and eloquently written. Also, I was kind of a weird kid 'cause I loved reading really sad novels (like really really sad books).
Emma is probably my favorite Jane Austen novel. I am a huuuggeee fan of Jane Austen and her feminist novels during a time where feminism was unthinkable. I love Emma because Austen's writing shines through in this satire about a girl and her matchmaking skills. By the way, the movie Clueless with Alicia Silverstone, was based off this novel!
Okay, so I bought this book (The Scent of Rain & Lightning) at Target for really cheap.... but I haven't read it yet! It sounded so interesting and I really want to read it. It's about a woman who learns that the man who murdered her father has been released from prison and is returning to her town. The main character also finds herself sharing similar feelings of loss with Collin, her father's murder's son who has spent his life trying to free his dad from prison. Interesting, huh? :)
The Scarlet Letter is a novel filled with symbols and deeper meanings, but it is a great story. I loved reading this last year and hearing my brilliant English teacher explain it. I would highly recommend this novel because it's a classic novel and the interesting plot of a scandal in Puritan society.
 #1 favorite novel of all time: To Kill a Mockingbird. I have mentioned this novel 1,001 times but it seriously is amazing!!! If you haven't read it go out a buy it right now. I'll wait..... Harper Lee is an amazing writer who shares the story of Scout, Jem, and Atticus in a beautifully written story about ethics, morals, and innocence. PLEASE GO READ IT NOW :)
Harry Potter. Enough said.
If the billions of fans and hype around the world isn't enough to make you want to read this fabulous novel about witches, wizards, and good versus evil than nothing will.
 I have not read Invisible Man yet, but it is on my to-read list this year! It is a highly acclaimed classic novel about racial tensions in the 20th century. I need to read this book very soon :)
 Oh gosh.... I read this book this summer and really liked it... but it's not that good. It's a cute, cliche teen romance novel, but I really enjoyed it! Something Like Fate is about a girl falling in love with her best friend's boyfriend. It was actually a cute and intriguing teeny-bopper summer romance novel.
Split is an amazing novel. I cannot say much more about it than you should read it. The author, Swait Avasthi, is actually a friend of mine and I love supporting author's novels. But I actually mean that this is an amazing novel! It's about a teenage boy who escapes his abusive father and runs away to live with his brother who escaped before him. It is suspenseful, thrilling, heartbreaking, funny, and beautifully written. Read it! :)
Basically, books are my life :) I hope you liked this post and maybe you'll check out one of these books!
A Party in my Pajamas
I was having a little too much fun before I went to bed... :)
My night was successful!
room = clean
colleges = researched
essay = almost done
bubble bath = shower
dance party = much needed
SNL + Bridesmaids = Mellisa McCarthy ^ 2
blog = updated (you like?)
sleep = heavenly
& Seventeen magazine = read...
Here are my favorites out of Seventeen...
 Scarves scarves scarves!!! They are my #1 fall fashion accessory.
I loove LC's cute circle skirt here. She looks amazing!
Bright bags are in and Seventeen found an adorable teal one for only $29!
Colorful tampons? I'm in :)
Doesn't Selena look gorgeous??? Seriously I love all of her outfits!
tights + long striped shirt + boots + solid scarf = perfect for school
glittery top + skinny jeans + heels = perfect for a night out
Again, Selena is rocking outfits: henley top + plaid button-down + hat + jeans = perfect for shopping
I looove braids... but I just can't do them :( I usually have my mom or sister do my hair!
I never really liked the look of green eyes, but this tutorial makes them look beautiful!
Yeaaahhh horoscopes!!!
Okay, so I'm an Aries and it says stuff about an ex (but I don't need to worry about that)... buuuttt it does say that a new guy will notice me!!! I hope so :)
One of my favorite parts of this issue was the college life section.
I love this Frosh Year Timeline at the bottom... It talks about the points of your freshman year of college that will be high and low.
Overall, I was a little more disappointed with this issue than normal, but, as always, it was fun to read!
Happy Sunday everyone :)
